We are Janneke and Rob Hermus.

How did we end up here?
We're asked this question very often.
Through an exchange program between our municipality of Ferwerderadiel and the municipality of Nowe Miasto, we were asked in 1998 if we had a place to stay for a few Polish women. They were staying in Ferwert with a Polish group.
Through this exchange, we ended up here in Poland.
Over the years, there have been many exchanges, and many Dutch people have also "visited" their Polish friends.
One day, we heard from a few people that it's very nice to visit their friends, but that you're also being lived in. That's why they thought it would be nice if there was a campsite nearby so they could use their own caravan, tent, or camper during their visit. That's how the idea to set it up here came about. And in 2005, we started building "Camping de Kleine Stad"/"Małe Miasto."
We came up with the name because we're located in the municipality of Nowe Miasto (new city). Poznan's old town is called Stare Miasto (old city). So, we wanted to do something with Miasto.
We were going to set up the campsite with our Polish friends.
Due to circumstances, our Polish friends dropped out, and we continued on our own.
Finally, we moved to Poland in 2013.
